I loved my brief visit to this fabric store on Madison Avenue in Seattle. You see, I was distracted by the gorgeous weather and the community fair going on just outside the shop. “All sorts of quality fabrics lying around in no particular order” is how a Yelp subscriber described Tina’s shop. Well said! I need to go back, plans and patterns in hand. She has many linens and silkies that would be super-fine for tailored jackets or fancy skirts.
Tina herself is charming and proudly shared her copy of a Vogue sewing magazine issue in which she was featured in mid-2010. We discussed online shopping “How can anyone buy fabric that way?” (“I’m not sure,” I had to admit).
Tina’s is a small business and doesn’t maintain a working Web site. Map to Tina’s on Madison.
