A New Generation of Sewers

Join me in enjoying this lovely article on young people who are reigniting the art — and technique — of sewing. As I prepare for my second fitting class, I’m reminding myself of my own roots in sewing. As a quiet kid, I liked nothing better than to sit on the floor and cut up fabric. I just loved fabric, and to this day sewing focuses and relaxes me. I entered my items in 4-H contests, but I did sometimes need a little prompting to finish my project. In contrast, these kids seem highly motivated! Enjoy!
