The parade was more fun than I expected. Despite a late start, Sew Up Seattle had fun walking along, displaying our two treadle sewing machines on the truck bed. One of the machines was actively being used while we were moving!. People actually called out to have bundles of cloth run out to them for the Great Scrap Coat Challenge. And the teenagers of the group gave away clothespins with Sew Up Seattle stamples. See http://sewupseattle.blogspot.com/ for more info on this cool organization, and free sewing sessions.
